OperationChristmasChild

Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child shoe box was one of our Sunday School project/activity for November 2012. It was a fun and simple, hands-on project which asks children to fill shoe boxes with a variety of gifts (School Supplies, Toys & Other Gifts, Hygiene Items & a personal note) to bless the lives of children living in desperate situations in the developing & underdeveloped countries.

We received 50 shoe boxes from Samaritan Purse this year. In October, these shoeboxes were distributed to our Sunday School students. Our youth also participated in this project.

On November 18th, during our worship service, our Maxcin John Achen dedicated the shoe boxes and special prayers were offered to bless the children who will receive these gifts. This year, Operation Christmas Child is targeting to distribute their 100 millionth shoe box gift! With God’s blessings, CSI Christ Church Toronto was able to participate in this incredible goal! And I want to thank each and every student, youth and their families for taking keen interest in filling up these gift boxes with useful items and donations.
